Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Zoril POS (“Zoril”, “we”, “us”) provides cloud point-of-sale software for retailers in Uganda and beyond. This policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it and the choices you have.

2. Data we collect

  • Account data — name, email, phone, business name, role and password hash.
  • Operational data — products, sales, customers, inventory, shifts and reports you create.
  • Device & log data — IP, browser, device type, pages visited, timestamps, error logs.
  • Payment data — handled by our PCI-compliant payment processors; we never store full card numbers.

3. How we use your data

We use your data to provide the service, authenticate you, process payments, prevent fraud, send transactional emails (receipts, alerts), and improve the product. We do not sell your data and we do not use customer business data to train AI models.

4. Where data lives

Data is stored in encrypted, tenant-isolated databases. Each tenant's records are protected by row-level security and only accessible to users you invite. Backups run daily and are retained for 30 days.

5. Sharing

We share data only with sub-processors that are contractually required to protect it: our cloud database provider, email delivery provider and payment processors. A current list is available on request.

6. Your rights

You can access, correct, export or delete your account and business data at any time from Settings, or by writing to privacy@zoril.app. We respond within 30 days.

7. Retention

We retain operational data for as long as your account is active. After account closure, data is kept for 90 days for recovery, then permanently deleted unless we're legally required to keep it longer.

8. Cookies

We use a small number of strictly-necessary cookies for sign-in and language preference. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

9. Changes

We'll notify you by email or in-app banner before any material change to this policy.
